Best condition Ladderax
Please note we have another section with a few Ladderax parts including some shelves which are not pristine.
This section is for better condition Ladderax.
If you are London based and have bought ladders in poor cosmetic condition you can have them blasted and powder-coated at Rodman Brothers a good firm in Tottenham . Please support local businesses.
Staples Ladderax Unit Furniture was designed by Robert Heal and manufactured by Staples & Co. Ltd. from the 1960's to the mid 1980's.
Staples Ladderax shelving was made in five widths and three depths. Cabinets were made in two widths. Ladders were made in five heights, two depths and in wood or metal, making it easy to create the best arrangement to suit your space.
The Ladderax System, notes a company catalogue of the time, consists of a number of upright ladders, supporting shelves and cabinets. These are very simply fixed by resting on steel support rods, hooked on to the rungs of the ladders. They fit snugly into grooves under the shelves and cabinets.
Ladderax does not require any permanent fixing to a wall, because it self-supports, you can screw wall-leaning ladders to the wall if desired (unlike room divider ladders) as the rear upright has factory made holes to accommodate screws. Room divider or freestanding ladders, ladders with two feet, were designed to stand across a room to divide a large space, they were not designed to be fixed to walls. They have a round foot separating them from contact with a flat wall. Safe use of room divider ladders depends on the correct number of cabinets relative to its width and height to prevent risk of toppling forward or backward.
'Ladderax is furniture you can move about and rearrange as easily as you can change your mind.'
Ladderax Unit Furniture’s modern styling has a timeless appeal.
We buy Ladderax in all conditions. If you are selling please don't polish or add any product to veneers or solid wood parts, especially teak oil, we have to remove all coatings to properly clean and re-oil with a light oil suitable for thin veneers. ** Please be aware we are a business so be realistic with your monetary expectations **
Thank you
